Post-Abortion
Healing
Many
women are unaware of the emotional and spiritual damage which
can result from an abortion. Doctors and clinics definitely are
not telling it; thus, women think that once the abortion procedure
is complete, all will be well. At some point in their lives,
sometimes immediately, the damage manifests. The sad thing, however,
is that because no warning is given about the risk of emotional
pain, many women do not connect their abortion(s) to
the trouble they experience. I didn’t. Because no one told
me, my abortion led to a 22-year journey of the Lord connecting
the dots for me.
In
healing me from the effects of my abortion, God turned my weeping
into joy; He turned my mourning, my grief,
into dancing. Why? So
that my heart and my soul could sing his praise and not be silent
(Ps. 30:11-12). I cannot be silent. I must let other post-abortive
women know about God’s amazing grace and mercy which alone
can heal their wounded souls.
Thus,
in obedience to the Lord’s
mandate, I have written a book, Can’t Keep Silent: A
Woman’s
22-Year Journey of Post-Abortion Healing to reach the large
masses of women who
struggle with the aftermath of abortion.
God
has used my testimony of post-abortion healing as a catalyst
for healing in the lives
of many other post-abortive women.
I have volunteered with Family
Life Services in Michigan
since 1999 as
a facilitator of post-abortion Bible studies and as a speaker
on post-abortion trauma and healing. The Lord has opened
the door
for me to minister before audiences of thousands. Each time
of
ministry has resulted in a dramatic impact upon both men
and women. The door was also opened for me to share my testimony
on WMUZ,
103.5 FM (a Detroit Christian radio station).
Special
Message for Pastors and Women's Ministry Leaders
Although
difficult to believe, there's a high probability that there are
women in your church who have aborted--women who are no doubt
hurting and suffering in silence. Please allow your love for
them to manifest by helping them deal with abortion's aftermath.
Abortion is not just a political issue. In reality, it is an issue that negatively
affects women--spirit, soul, and body. What better place is there for post-abortive
women to find hope for healing than their own church?! Jesus died to heal,
not only the physically infirmed, but also the emotionally wounded. God is
faithful in bringing restoration, and its fruit will undoubtedly carry them
and your church to a higher level in God.
Please contact
us today for information on how we can assist you in meeting this
critical need.
